9th SGA-SGNS-IUGS-SEG-UNESCO SHORT COURSE ON AFRICAN METALLOGENY « How can West Africa best use its mineral wealth for economic development ?»

Beate Orberger, Catura, co-organized the 9th African Metallogeny short course in Dakar Senegal on the topic “How can West Africa use its mineral wealth for economic development.”

 

B.O. gave a lecture: “ Sustainable Metal Resources from metallurgical waste”, she led a workshop on “How to write a perfect project proposal (academia, business)””, and she co-moderated the panel with I.M. Neh Fru on “What actions can be taken to ensure West Africa uses its Mineral wealth for further development”.

Visits to Titanium and Phosphate mines were organized.

This activity was in the frame of 4 EIT Projects (VALORE, Scaleup, EU Magnesium, ScaVanger) and the EU Horizon Project, EU-Titan.
