Summary: Crystallization of Battery Grade Vanadyl Sulphate from Bayer Liquor
Paper explores alternative techniques for the direct crystallization of high purity vanadyl sulphate (VOSO4.xH2O) from a vanadium strip liquor in a temperature-controlled jacketed batch reactor. Different candidate antisolvents (acetone/ethanol/isopropanol) are used at different concentrations, to induce supersaturation required for VOSO4.xH2O crystallization.
